PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Melbourne Pathology project is a new multi storey building located
in Victoria Parade Collingwood.
The new building fronts Victoria parade and accommodates a reception
area, basement carpark, some carparking at ground level, office
and meeting room space, workshops, storage areas including coolrooms,
executive office space, open laboratory/testing areas, individual
testing rooms, histology lab, and staff training facilities.
SERVICES DESCRIPTION
The Mechanical Services included all new installations throughout
and included:
- Rooftop packaged air conditioning systems fully ducted to serve
most tenanted spaces, including some individual reheat elements.
- Split packaged air conditioning systems fully ducted to serve
separate areas.
- Fume cupboards including associated extraction systems and
interconnecting ductwork serving specific areas.
- Reticulated medical gases throughout the laboratory areas situated
on the first floor.
- Miscellaneous ventilation systems including basement carpark
ventilation, toilet/bathroom exhaust, intrinsically safe solvent
store ventilation systems.
- DDC system incorporating interfaces with other services to
form complete building automation.
