PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Emmy Monash Home for the Aged project is a new and refurbished
existing building located on Dandenong Road, Caulfield.
The existing buildings were refurbished to provide updated aged
care accommodation and include individual units compete with separate
bathrooms, communal lounge areas, dining areas, lobbies, nursing
stations and offices. A new full commercial kitchen is also installed
into the existing buildings.
A new building was also erected abutting the existing buildings
and includes a basement carpark, additional aged care residences,
communal lounges and dining areas, and staff areas.
SERVICES DESCRIPTION
The Mechanical Services included all new installations throughout
and included:
- Ducted and wall mounted air cooled reverse cycle VRV type air
conditioning systems installed to all new and existing residences,
communal lounges, dining areas, staff areas and miscellaneous
public areas.
- Fully ducted exhaust systems to all new and existing bathrooms
and miscellaneous areas including laundries.
- Natural and mechanical ventilation to basement carparking areas
- Hydronic convection heating to all new and existing residences,
communal lounges, dining areas, staff areas and miscellaneous
public areas.
- New Heating plant associated with hydronic heating system including
boiler, pumps and associated flues
- New kitchen ventilation system including fully ducted exhaust
canopies, evaporative cooling and associated ventilation systems
